Harz & Elm

Harz & Elm, Germany

Harz National Park is a nature reserve in the German federal states of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. As it's only an hour away from Braunschweig, I'm there quite often.

A group of birch trees with their last leaves is seen in the blue mist.
The "Brokenbahn" driving through a snowy landscape on its way to the Brocken top
A green meadow is painted in golden light by the setting sun in the background.

The setting sun illuminates stones of the Wolfsscharte in the foreground as it goes down behind a mountain range.

The "Hamburger Wappen" (a rock formation) at blue hour with a lone tree in the foreground.
A waterfall at the "Steinerne Renne" in autumn.

The top of the Broken mountain is seen behind a smooth hill in black and white
The castle of Wernigerode at blue hour overlooks the city lights of some residential streets in Wernigerode.
The "Romkerhaller Wasserfall" a waterfall is seen from above as the sun illuminates some fall colored trees behind it.
